“Ever since I was a kid, I was obsessed with music, DJ equipment and light effects”. – Razaile
From the age of 12, I started DJing playing mostly at classroom and birthday parties. Starting out with just a double CD player, a small basic mixer and some cheap disco lights. I soon hungered for more so I started saving up for my first sound system.
After getting acquainted with DJ software I decided to buy my first DJ controller, a Behringer BCD 3000, which I used to control Traktor DJ and made countless mixtapes with.
I started out doing voluntary work at the local youth centre De IJsbreker, where I was part of the Sound & Light team. It was also there that I took my first DJ class to learn more about mixing techniques and the club-standard Pioneer CDJ system.
A few years later, I decided to buy a complete set of Pioneer CDJs and a DJM Mixer, so I could practice at home more and bring my own equipment to parties. This experience came in quite handy during my internship, for which I travelled all across the country as part of a drive-in show. We would supply a complete party package which included a sound system accompanied by light-effects, decorations, a DJ and often multiple singers/artists. During that time I played roughly 4 times a week at different events ranging from party-cafes to weddings.
Now in 2020, it’s time for a new chapter, I’ve worked hard to get my own drive-in show together. Upgrading my sound system, lighting and getting a new Pioneer DJ controller, I’m ready to hit the roads again.
